Announcing The Yale Teaching Fellowship

The Yale Teaching Fellowship, funded by Yale University, aims to train high-quality teachers from diverse backgrounds, cover shortage areas, and promote long-term retention for New Haven Public Schools (NHPS). This fellowship comes out of the Yale & Slavery Research Project and supports New Haven Public Schools’ efforts to increase their teacher diversity in accordance with the Connecticut State Department of Education (CSDE).

Yale University, in partnership with New Haven Public Schools, New Haven Promise, and Southern Connecticut State University, created the Yale Teaching Fellowship to support graduate study for aspiring educators and current NHPS educators who, upon program completion and certification, are obligated to serve for at least three years of full-time employment in New Haven Public Schools.
