Classes to Help You Help Your Kids Prepare for College
New Haven Promise is partnering with Arte Inc. to offer college-focused workshops for parents this spring.
(Arte is also offering computer literacy and financial literacy classes for parents.)
New Haven Promise and Arte Inc. hope these classes will help the parents/guardians of New Haven public school students plan for college.

Of interest to parents of high school students:
Financial Aid 101: Learn from financial aid officers at local universities about the FAFSA, how and when to apply for financial aid and how to interpret your financial aid award letter.
College 101: Hear from admissions counselors from local universities about what colleges are looking for in students and how to help your student pick a school.
Of interest to parents of K-8 students:
Save Now for College: Start saving now for college with a 529 college savings plan or other long-term savings tools. Taught by Wells Fargo bankers and CHET.
Pathway to Promise: Learn how New Haven Promise is working to create a college-going culture in New Haven’s preK-8 schools and what you can do at home to reinforce the message.
